Drawing on his forty years of PCL experience, including ten as chief financial officer, Gord provides transition support to the CEO and CFO in the areas of strategic planning, enterprise risk management, and succession. He joined the PCL family of companies as a summer term student and worked his way up from field accountant through various positions in finance and administration, until in 2001 he was appointed chief financial officer, a position he held until January 31, 2011. Gord is a PCL Construction Holdings Ltd. board member and sits on the Executive Committee, the Corporate Services Executive Committee (CSEC), the Ethical Conduct Compliance Committee (ECCC), the Donations Committee, and the Investment Committee. At a community level, he serves on the Board of Directors for the United Way Capital Region. Gord is a certified management accountant and has a bachelor of science degree from the University of Alberta. He was awarded the FCMA (Fellow of CMA Canada) designation in 2003. |
