As president and chief executive officer, Paul is responsible for all operations within the PCL family of companies. Paul’s career has taken him across Canada since he joined PCL in 1985. He has led teams in Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Ottawa, and Toronto, and has been involved in the securement and execution of landmark projects. He is a PCL Construction Holdings Ltd. board member, and chairs the Corporate Services Executive Committee (CSEC), the Ethical Conduct Compliance Committee (ECCC), and the Health Safety Environment (HSE) User Group. He sits on the Investment Committee and the Donations Committee. At a community level, Paul serves on the Board of Trustees of the University Hospital Foundation in Edmonton, and sits on the Edmonton International Business Advisory Committee and the President’s Think Tank for the University of Alberta. He is a member of the World Presidents’ Organization.

In 2004, Paul was the recipient of the Canadian Construction Association’s General Contractor Award of Excellence – Robert Saunders Memorial Award, in recognition of his contribution to the Canadian construction industry. In 2008, he was inaugurated into the Canadian Design-Build Institute’s College of Fellows for his outstanding contribution to the enhancement of the Canadian design-build industry.

Paul holds a bachelor of applied science in civil engineering degree from the University of Toronto and is a Gold Seal certified project manager.
