ORLANDO, FL (August 16, 2017) – PCL Construction ranked #8
among Florida’s largest “Best Companies to Work For” by Florida Trend
magazine for the sixth year.
“I’m honored to be a part of a company that is so committed
to its employees, as we pride ourselves on being an employer of choice,” said
Rick Goldman, Orlando district manager. “This award is confirmation that
investing in our employees is the key to success.”
PCL was recognized as a “Best Company to Work For” because
of the organization’s culture, employee ownership model, health benefits, and
opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
To participate, companies or government entities had to
employ at least 15 workers in Florida and be in operation at least one year.
Companies also underwent an evaluation of their workplace policies, practices,
philosophy, systems, and demographics. The process included a survey to measure
employee satisfaction, and combined scores determined the top companies and the
final ranking. PCL employs more than 200 employees in Florida and has been in operation
out of the Orlando office since 1978. The company was recognized with the
ranking because of their commitment to the employees shown through such actions
as ice-cream truck celebrations and gifts to acknowledge achievements.
PCL continues to be recognized as an employer of choice and
was included on Fortune’s list of “100
Best Companies to Work For” in 2017 for the 12th year in a row. It was also named
one of the “Best Workplaces for Giving Back” by the Great Place to Work®
