EDMONTON, AB - The PCL family of companies is pleased to announce that Maclean’s magazine has acknowledged us as one of the thirty most environmentally conscious employers in Canada. The Green 30 will be celebrated in a special editorial feature published in the May 7 issue of the magazine, appearing on newsstands on April 26.
“Inclusion on the Green 30 list is very good news,” says PCL president and CEO Paul Douglas. “It reflects the fact that in all our districts, at one jobsite after another, PCL employees are putting Green initiatives into action. Our clients and the public consider environmental stewardship to be a given. At PCL, it has long been a guiding principle and we continue to enhance our ability to take Green initiatives to the next level.”
The feature will showcase the efforts of those companies that have incorporated environmental stewardship into their business models and corporate cultures.
The top 30 list was independently compiled by Aon Hewitt. It was based on employee perceptions of their workplaces’ "eco-friendly" policies and practices, using data from the Employee Opinion Survey, completed as part of the Best Employers study. The organizations are listed alphabetically, and there is no actual or implied ranking among the winners.
