The 394-bed, 970,000-square-foot hospital will be located in St. Catharines, Ontario. The project is being developed as a public-private partnership (P3) for design, construction, financing, and facility management for Niagara Health Systems through Infrastructure Ontario. PCL’s partners for development and facilities management are Plenary Health and Johnson Controls. This is the largest P3 project undertaken by Infrastructure Ontario and is the largest design-build contract that PCL has been awarded in North America. Design development for the project will get underway immediately, and PCL will start mobilization to site in April of 2009. Substantial completion is scheduled for October 2012.
