PCL Climbs To Number Five on Canada’s 50 Best Employers List

EDMONTON, Alberta — The PCL family of companies is pleased to announce that we are now ranked number five on the 50 Best Employers in Canada list. The list of the 50 Best Employers in Canada for 2007 appears in the January issue of Report on Business magazine and in La Presse. The PCL family has been on the list every year since its inception in 2000.

The 50 Best Employers in Canada survey is administered by Hewitt Associates, one of the world's foremost providers of human resources outsourcing and consulting services. Survey responses from more than 100,000 Canadian employees at nearly 120 organizations determined this year's ranking, with additional input from over 2,000 leaders and human resources professionals.

The primary measurement for ranking is each organization’s employee engagement score, which measures the emotional and intellectual commitment that employees demonstrate for their organizations. The PCL companies' engagement score of 84 percent is well above the 50 Best Employers' average score of 77 percent.
