PCL Now Sixth Largest Green Contractor in United States

DENVER, Colorado -- PCL Construction Enterprises, Inc. has jumped to sixth place in Engineering News-Record’s rankings of the Top Green Contractors in the United States. This is a large jump for PCL as the contracting organization jumped 35 spots from 2007. PCL is also now ranked as the fourth largest green contractor in health care facilities and the second largest in retail space. 

“We have taken strides over the last year to further demonstrate our expertise as green builders,” says Peter Beaupré, president and COO of PCL Construction Enterprises, Inc. “For example, we now have more than one hundred PCL professionals across the continent that are LEED® accredited.”

PCL’s green portfolio continues to grow with several projects under construction that are being built to LEED® standards. Some examples of these projects are California State University Fullerton Student Housing (Fullerton, California), The Viceroy at Snowmass Village (Snowmass Village, Colorado), and One Ski Hill Place (Breckenridge, Colorado) in the United States; and the Manitoba Hydro Downtown Office Building (Winnipeg, Manitoba), the Durham Consolidated Courthouse (Oshawa, Ontario), and the Edmonton Clinic North (Edmonton, Alberta) in Canada.

PCL’s very own PCL Centennial Learning Centre to Edmonton is also the first private building in Alberta to achieve LEED® Gold certification.
