EDMONTON, Alberta - PCL Edmonton announced January 12 that PCL-Maxam, a Joint Venture will build and make a significant donation toward the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Fallen Four Memorial. The memorial will be created across from the RCMP station in Mayerthorpe, Alberta in honor of four Mounties slain at an area farm March 3, 2005. The memorial will include bronze statues of Constables Peter Schiemann, Brock Myrol, Leo Johnston and Anthony Gordon; a 550-kilogram (1200-pound), solid-steel sculpture titled Never Forgotten; walkways, benches and landscaping. It will be a place of reflection in memory of the four Mounties.
