The OSBL packages are the portion of the total expansion project that connects the existing plant to the new hydrocarbon processing units and provides additional infrastructure capacity for the increase in production. Work associated with these packages includes construction of the following: a raw water treatment facility, an effluent treatment system, a flue gas recovery system, off-gas flares, and tankage. The award of this project, in conjunction with the on-going work at the Total Refinery in Port Arthur, further strengthens Teton’s position in the refining and petrochemical market along the Gulf Coast. Motiva Enterprises, LLC, is a joint venture formed in 1998 between Saudi Refining, Inc. and Shell. Motiva operates primarily in the eastern and southern United States. Its operations include three refineries with a combined capacity of 740,000 barrels per day. The Crude Expansion Project is expected to go on-line in the first quarter of 2012, increasing capacity at the Motiva Port Arthur Refinery from 275,000 barrels per day to 600,000 barrels per day, making it the largest refinery in the United States and one of the top 10 in the world.
