At the same time, governments at all levels face challenges related to building and maintaining public infrastructure. Public-Private Partnerships (P3s) allow governments to push ahead with vital major construction projects while creating jobs.

Building on a Legacy: Marine Corps Air Station

​For over a decade, PCL has been constructing military facilities across the country. When an electrical fire destroyed the original headquarters at the Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, North Carolina, in 2007 a piece of military history was lost forever. The facility was one of the original structures that was built on the base when it was commissioned during World War ll.

Collaborating with Native American Cultures

​The Minnesota American Indian Chamber of Commerce’s (MAICC) goal is to promote, advocate, and create economic prosperity on behalf of American Indian businesses, organizations, professionals, and tribal enterprises in a global market. PCL has played a role in helping some members of the MAICC achieve that goal.

When PCL’s general superintendent, Dean Xuereb, talked to his mother about the new Niagara Health System (NHS) Healthcare Complex that he was building, he would often talk about the state-of-the-art construction details.

It was his mother, Patricia, just before she passed away, who reminded Xuereb and the rest of the PCL project team, that it wasn’t the building that mattered most; it was what would happen inside those walls.
