The 538,000-square-foot Cedar Grove Parking Garage is a cast-in-place concrete structure that holds over 1,500 parking stalls. The structure is used as the primary parking facility for the new Twin Cities Premium Outlet shopping center in Eagan, Minnesota.
The modern and inviting ramp consists of five stair towers. The central tower, connected to a waiting space, is made with transparent glass and provides climate-controlled circulation. Design elements such as a white lower-level ceiling and an impressive 16 feet of clear space between floors create a warm and open atmosphere for guests. The large floor span permits natural light to fill the parking deck.
The garage served as catalyst for the development of the Twin Cities Premium Outlet mall and continues to serve as an important infrastructure feature for future development. The project is located on a previously deteriorating redevelopment area that has brought new jobs, a tax base, and prosperity to the area. The site is overall a very successful example of multimodal transportation. The ramp is designed to accommodate a third story as the development continues to grow.
