PCL teamed up with equipment provider Compressor Systems, Inc (CSI) and engineering firm Spec Services to competitively bid the Oxy 1C Compressor Station project. In addition to price, equipment selection was a major factor in the owner’s award criteria. Occidental of Elk Hills awarded the project to the CSI team based on value and equipment selection to construct the turnkey 40MMSCFD Compressor Station.
PCL’s scope of work included installation of foundations for two buildings and the 15 pieces of equipment provided by CSI. In addition, PCL provided fabrication for all facility piping, consisting of two vacuum compressors and two reciprocating compressors, an inlet slug catcher, a discharge scrubber, and the gas dehydration system including a Regen Skid, BTEX Skid, and contact tower. Utilities included an instrument air compressor, lube oil tanks and pump system, and a glycol tank and pump.
The electrical portion of the plant was subcontracted, and PCL assisted in the start-up and commissioning of the station.
