Administrative support staff are responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical duties relating to the department in which they work. They manage information, schedule meetings and appointments, organize and maintain paper and electronic files, manage departmental projects, prepare correspondence, and provide information.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Individuals in this career stream will have research, organizational/scheduling, interpersonal, and time management skills. They have the ability to prioritize tasks, and effective written and verbal communication skills. They should possess advanced computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
