Procurement

The procurement group is responsible for expediting, receiving, storing, and issuing all goods used on PCL construction projects, including permanent materials, consumable goods, construction equipment, and services to support operations.

To satisfy operational needs, they maintain, repair, and supply construction tools, as well as provide pricing support to the estimating departments. The procurement function may be carried out within each operating company’s main office, or, depending on the scope of a project, on the project itself.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Individuals in this career stream will have planning, organizing, and cost-saving skills. In addition, they will have experience in establishing and maintaining rental agreements; preparing and monitoring pricing agreements; supplying contracts and vendor supplies; and tracking equipment, tools, and formwork hardware. They will have excellent computer skills in MS Office and effective verbal and written communication skills.
