Project Management

The project management career stream within the PCL companies provides overall leadership for construction projects.

Project managers are responsible for a project’s performance, including safety, owner satisfaction, costs, schedule, and quality. Entry-level positions are also available to provide technical support and grow into leadership roles. 


Individuals in the project management stream typically possess one of the following: technical diploma, engineering degree, or equivalent experience and knowledge. They have basic skills in construction planning and execution, contract management, engineering, and safety.
Experience within this career stream will result from growing technical skills, while also developing and maturing interpersonal skills, communication, leadership, supervision, and management skills.

    • Quantity surveying
  • Building systems commissioning
  • Scheduling and planning
  • Forecasting/costing
  • Safe work practices
