UNITED WAY

PCL employees recognize that coworkers, neighbors, and families all benefit from living in healthier, stronger communities, and they help to bring this about by providing financial support to United Way. United Way supports local agencies that offer a variety of service programs that strengthen communities and make them secure and resilient.

PCL has been involved with United Way since 1969, and matches every dollar contributed by PCL employees 100%. In 2015, PCL and its employees across the United States raised over $3 million for United Way; company-wide, donations approached $7.4 million. From donation challenges to fundraisers, silent auctions, and volunteer time, employees across the organization have found ways to demonstrate excellence in their dedication to community investment and are together creating a lasting impact on the communities they call home.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Across North America, the PCL family of companies has donated more than $1.5 million over a four-year period to support Habitat for Humanity, an organization dedicated to building homes for deserving families. PCL employees can often be found volunteering their personal time at Habitat builds throughout the United States. PCL’s commitment to sustainability aligns with Habitat’s mission to promote positive change while demonstrating stewardship of people and natural resources, and bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

RED CROSS

The Red Cross responds to devastation around the world. PCL has renewed the commitment of donating $100,000 to the American Red Cross over three consecutive years, for a total of $300,000 to help fund disaster preparedness. This proactive donation will maximize financial support for emergent, life-saving Red Cross services before disaster strikes–and will help the organization to better prepare communities for crisis situations.
