As executive vice president of PCL Construction Enterprises, Inc., and with over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Deron helps guide the strategic direction of PCL’s US commercial buildings and civil infrastructure operations and provides corporate direction to all US offices. Deron began his PCL career in 1996 and quickly became one of the company’s youngest vice presidents and district managers in Orlando, where he directed southeast building operations. Prior to serving as executive vice president, he was president, US Buildings, and is a member of the PCL Board of Directors.
In 2018, Deron was named a Top 25 Newsmaker by Engineering-News Record (ENR) for his contributions to advancing innovation and technology in the industry by championing the creation of PCL PartsLab. He strives to make a difference not only in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry, but also within his community. His strong sense of philanthropy developed early on in his career. He has been a board member of many organizations, including Edgewood Children’s Ranch, an organization aimed at changing the direction of troubled children’s futures, the Parent Development Board for Student Affairs at Auburn University, and was the Tocqueville chair for the Heart of Florida United Way chapter. Deron is currently a Tocqueville member of Mile High United Way and involved in the Make a Wish Foundation. He received a bachelor of science degree in construction science from Auburn University and is a licensed general contractor.
