Windows 8 – Stories of the Early Adopters

Panelists from PCL Constructors Inc., British Telecom, Seton Hall University, and Rooms To Go will describe their experiences as early testers of the Windows 8 operating system and associated software and hardware solutions.
PCL will offer insight into its use of Windows 8 on tablet computers for field staff, executives, and frequent travelers including its experiences using Windows-To-Go (Windows 8 on a USB stick). PCL is leveraging Windows-to-Go to educate employees and gain feedback on the new operating system ahead of future deployments across the organization. PCL will also discuss its proprietary “Safety Management Center” application and how it has been redeveloped to work with new Windows 8 hardware and software designs--enabling its field safety staff to better manage and monitor safety on construction jobsites in support of the organization’s safety goal of zero incidents.
