Honolulu – Buildings Construction

Honolulu, HI (October 27, 2016) – Nordic PCL Construction, Inc. has been awarded the construction contract for Ke Kilohana, The Howard Hughes Corporation’s 43-story, mixed-use residential condominium. The project, located at Ward Village in Kaka'ako, will feature 424 one-, two-, and three-bedroom residences ranging from 461 to 2,106 square feet.

Named after one of the highest peaks of the Ko'olau mountain range, Ke Kilohana will create homeownership opportunities for working professionals and families. Over 88 percent of the residences are reserved for qualifying Hawaii residents making 100 to 140 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI), which represents the sector of the population with the largest demand for affordable housing.

“We are excited to begin construction on Ke Kilohana, which will be our second condominium project at Ward Village for The Howard Hughes Corporation,” said Nordic PCL president, Glen Kaneshige. “The brisk sales of residential units in Ke Kilohana speak volumes for the demand for affordable housing in Honolulu. We are pleased to be a part of a development that will provide homes for many local families.”

Ke Kilohana will feature a flagship 23,000-square-foot Longs Drug store and a six-story parking structure. The building’s eighth-floor amenity deck will provide residents with many entertainment options, including a movie theater, music studio, karaoke room, meeting space, multipurpose lounge, gym and workout studio, indoor and outdoor keiki play areas, and a landscaped sky deck with a barbeque area and views of the ocean.

Nordic PCL is scheduled to begin construction in November 2016. Ke Kilohana is expected to be completed for new homeowners early 2019.
