Edmonton, Alberta (June 30, 2015) – The PCL family of companies is proud to announce that president and CEO Paul Douglas has been named one of Alberta’s 50 Most Influential People by Alberta Venture magazine.
“It is an honour to receive this recognition from the Alberta business community,” says Douglas. “Although it has my name on it, I would not be able to contribute to this province as I do without the support of PCL’s employees and their everyday efforts in making their communities a better place to live and work.”
The editors of Alberta Venture listen to the recommendations of Alberta’s business community to create a list of people who positively impact Alberta politically, economically or culturally. The list, which is published annually, is made up of a diverse group of individuals who are committed to advancing Alberta.
Douglas is heavily involved with his community by way of supporting a number of local charities including the United Way, a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives and as a representative on the Edmonton Airport's Business Advisory Committee.
This is the second time a PCL executive member has been named to the Most Influential list. PCL board member Gord Maron was recognized in 2011 while serving as PCL’s chief financial officer.
