San Diego, CA (June 3, 2015) – PCL Construction is pleased to announce that Aaron Wiehe will lead the San Diego operations and oversee the organization’s commercial buildings presence in the market.
Prior to this appointment, Aaron served as the vice president and district manager of Nordic PCL Construction, Inc. in Honolulu. Under Aaron’s leadership the district experienced record growth and secured significant projects including the Symphony Honolulu, Ka Makana Ali'I in West Oahu, and Ward Village Waiea in Honolulu.
Aaron’s commitment to quality and outstanding leadership in operations, safety, estimating, and proposals will be essential to the growth of the San Diego office. PCL has built iconic projects in the area, including the San Diego International Airport Terminal 2 Building and Airside Expansion, which recently won an Engineering News-Record’s Best of the Best projects award.
“San Diego is an incredible city and I’m excited to grow PCL’s presence in the community,” said Wiehe.
Aaron is a LEED® AP and a Design-Build Institute of America certified associate. He is the recipient of the 2014 ENR California Top 20 Under 40 award and the 2014 Building Design + Construction 40 Under 40 award. Aaron joined PCL in 1998 after graduating from Purdue University with a bachelor of science degree in construction engineering and management.
