Denver, CO (November 25, 2014) – PCL Construction will donate $160,000 to food assistance programs across the country this holiday season. Since 2009 PCL Construction has donated $888,000 to help fight hunger, providing approximately eight million meals to those in need.
“We’re proud to have the ability to help and give back in the communities in which we build and where our employees live,” said Shaun Yancey, president and COO of PCL’s US Operations. “Our goal through this ongoing program is to make as many people’s holiday as memorable as possible.”
In 2009, PCL Construction enacted its US Food Bank Initiative, enabling the company’s 14 operating locations to donate approximately $10,000 annually to local food banks of their choice. This year, PCL Construction has contributed to food bank agencies in Atlanta, Bakersfield, Dallas, Denver, Honolulu, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New Jersey, Orlando, Phoenix, Raleigh, Seattle, and Tampa.
