– PCL Construction Services, Inc. is pleased to announce that Jack
Sample is promoted to vice president of California Buildings, where he will
oversee all buildings work in California, and Cathy Orquiola is appointed
district manager and will oversee buildings work in the Los Angeles area.
Jack joined PCL in 1993 as an intern and has worked in various
roles, including Special Projects manager, construction manager, director of
Business Development, and most recently, district manager of PCL Los Angeles.
Jack has been instrumental in growing PCL’s presence in Los Angeles, and under
his leadership PCL has been awarded the billion-dollar, joint-venture Los
Angeles International Airport (LAX) Midfield Satellite Concourse North project
as well as the Banc of California Stadium.
Cathy, a 22-year industry veteran, began her career with PCL in
1998 as assistant project manager and returned in 2015 as director of Corporate
Development. Prior to returning to PCL, Cathy rose through the ranks to become
vice president and operations manager of an international construction firm,
successfully overseeing all southeast projects from Savannah, Georgia, to
Puerto Rico. She holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from
the Florida Institute of Technology.
