Each year, the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Alaska Chapter presents the Constructive Woman of the Year Award to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding capabilities as a construction professional. Individuals are nominated by their employer.

As a member of the Alaska Chapter NAWIC board of directors, Mary Kay was nominated for helping women in the construction industry further themselves through education, mentoring, leadership, industry and community involvement. “She works above and beyond the call of duty—often at the sacrifice of personal needs—placing the company and client first. We are very proud of her and her accomplishments,” said Scott Ivany, construction manager in PCL’s Anchorage office.
