Melbourne – Buildings Construction

Melbourne, Australia (October 24, 2017) – The PCL family of companies is pleased to announce that the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) located in Melbourne, Australia, has won the Aconex Connect Project Award for Compliance.

The 2017 Aconex Connect Awards honor 30 customers worldwide for innovation in delivering significant construction and infrastructure projects efficiently and successfully. Grocon/PCL Joint Venture saved approximately A$778,000 in time and labor and A$950,000 in reporting over 4.5 years.

This was achieved in part by the following:

  • Automatic generation of monthly reports for stakeholders.
  • Configurable workflows for tracking requests for information (RFIs), with timely alerts that prompt action before items become overdue.
  • Automated mail approvals that expedite reviews by monitoring every change and providing an audit trail.
  • A mobile, cloud-based, field inspection solution.
  • Delivery of a A$1 billion cancer center on time and on budget.
