This project involved the construction of a new tank farm and the demolition of existing facilities. PCL’s scope of work included the erection of eight large storage tanks, complete with 95,000 meters (311,679 ft.) of piping; 1,000 concrete piles; 1,600 tonnes of structural steel, and 2,700 cubic meters (95,349 cu. ft.) of concrete. Also included was the demolition of 16 existing tanks and associated equipment to prepare the site for a future expansion.
The PCL team took on considerable work to decommission existing services and reroute the flow of hydrocarbons to and from the new tank farm.
