The expansion and modernization of the College of Law building on the University of Saskatchewan campus provides much-needed additional space and efficient restructuring of the existing facility. Approximately 35,520 square feet of new space, and renovations to the existing building, give staff and students state-of-the-art classrooms, refurbished faculty offices, additional study space, enhanced student lounges, offices, and a new lecture hall. Additionally, the Native Law Centre was relocated from another area of the campus.
This building is the first on the University of Saskatchewan campus to meet the Gold standard established by LEED. Sustainable construction practices included using building materials with recycled content, onsite recycling and construction salvage, and two living or ‘green’ roofs, which cover 60% of the building.
