This 1.2-million-square-foot office tower project consists of a 36-storey tower and a five-storey underground parking garage in the Eau Claire district of downtown Calgary. Two enclosed bridges to adjacent buildings link the project to Calgary’s busy +15 elevated pedestrian walkway system. The project represents the continuation of PCL’s strong relationship with Cadillac Fairview, and will be one of the first office towers in Canada to be designed to achieve LEED Platinum designation.
PCL developed an innovative electronic plan room specifically for information management on this project. This is being used by the entire project team and allows project information to be updated for all team members in real time. PCL is also using sustainable energy sources for the office complex's electrical demands. Substantial completion was achieved on November 30, 2015, and occupancy was achieved on December 15, 2015, as planned.
