After fifteen years of planning, The Centre for Mother Baby Care is coming to fruition at the Regina General Hospital. Awaited and welcomed by the local community and District Health Region, this six-phase, three-year project included new construction, interior renovations, two mechanical penthouse additions, and a large rebuild of two electrical distribution centers. The approximate area of the work is 96,000 square feet.
Phase I of this project was particularly challenging because all of the under-slab mechanical rough-in is to be accessed within occupied spaces. A number of electrical shutdowns during the rebuild of the two electrical distribution centers will require constant communication with all parties, but PCL’s client-focused expertise will minimize disruptions and maximize quality.
