Project Overview

The City of Yuma awarded a contract to PCL to construct the Desert Dunes Water Reclamation Facility. Continuous partnering between the City of Yuma, the design engineer, and PCL won this facility several awards, and the plant has been recognized as a showpiece public facility.

This project consisted of construction of a 3 MGD wastewater treatment facility consisting of an influent lift station, headworks, a nutrient removal aeration basin, aeration blower facility, sludge pumping facility, secondary clarifiers, sludge centrifuge facilities, digester facility, a filter feed lift station, a UV disinfection facility, an odor-control facility, sample building, equipment electrical/control/power distribution centers, yard electrical, yard piping infrastructure, standby power generating facilities, and an operations/maintenance building.
