This 85,000-square-foot medical office building in Kissimmee, Florida, provides new space for local doctors to build and expand their practices while keeping local clients. The three-story building is constructed to work with the adjacent hospital’s plans for the development of a new imaging suite and an ambulatory surgery center. Outpatient services (including a lab, imaging, rehab, and IV therapy) were expanded and relocated from the hospital to this new building. Site work included the expansion of wet and dry retention ponds, as well as a 475-stall asphalt parking lot with 14,000 square feet of decorative precast pavers.
The PCL project team developed a phasing plan that revolved around construction of the new parking lot to ensure minimal impact and provide overall improvements. This plan allowed PCL to take areas of the site needed for construction while turning over completed areas to offset the disruption.
