The Grand Floridian project involved the renovation of 895 guestrooms, corridors, and a concierge lounge across six buildings in an occupied resort. The scope of work included painting, wall covering, reupholstering and furniture touch-ups, window treatments, new light fixtures, data cable updates, new carpeting, and millwork.
This renovation was completed on an aggressive 33-week schedule. With the resort frequently reaching maximum occupancy, the PCL team was under immense pressure to turn over high-quality guestrooms on time. Each room was renovated in a mere six days, from Sunday afternoon to noon on Friday. The PCL team was constantly adjusting the schedule and crews to ensure on-time completion. Their diligence paid off when the project was completed on schedule and within budget.
