This is the third phase of the Denver Technological Center project in Englewood, Colorado. The 10-story, 220,000-square-foot office building; the nine-story, 420,000 square-foot parking garage; and the expansion to the existing central plant came on the heels of PCL’s previous work on towers I and II, and the original parking garage.
Both tower and garage were built on a fully occupied and operating campus, requiring PCL to collaborate closely with the client and property management group to minimize impact to ongoing operations. To accommodate the expansion project, the existing central plant was expanded and upgraded in a series of phased sequences, all while fully operational and providing services to the existing towers.
The parking expansion was completed adjacent to the existing Great West Life data center. Monitoring of foundation activities was critical to minimize vibration and mitigate any impact to ongoing data center operations.
