Jordan Basin Water Reclamation Facility

Project Overview

The picturesque community of Riverton, Utah (just south of Salt Lake City), is expanding rapidly and needs to construct a new water reclamation facility to handle its growing needs. One of the goals of the project is to make it fit in with the beautiful surrounding landscape; another is to use the latest technology in wastewater treatment: membrane bioreactors (MBR). As a result of extensive experience with this process, PCL was able to prequalify for the project. Bidding and project award followed soon after, and construction has now begun on the new 15 MGD plant.

This will be one of the largest MBR plants in North America. The plant consists of an influent pump station, a headworks building, process basins and building containing the MBR equipment, a UV disinfection building, a dewatering building, and ancillary facilities.
