This project consisted of a 1,250-square-foot expansion to the retail section of Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville Cafe. The addition was heavily themed to reflect a tropical paradise, and included the addition of a handicap lift and the removal of an exterior wall while the restaurant remained operational.
Cost savings was an important part of this project’s success. PCL worked closely with the client to value engineer several aspects of construction in a way that minimized costs without affecting quality. Even before construction began, the PCL project team saved the client significant amounts on the budget by making small changes, such as reusing existing light fixtures and modifying the mechanical system from sheet metal to fiberglass.
