Midfield Terminal Complex - Upper Level Roadway

Project Overview

The Midfield Terminal Complex — Upper Level Roadway project called for construction of a 2,200-foot-long bridge with an approach slab at each end, two small bridges to the second level of a parking garage with approach slabs, two pedestrian bridges, and a vehicular ramp connecting the roadway to a parking garage. PCL self performed much of the work, including shoring the longitudinal girders and precast, and forming and pouring the columns, longitudinal girders, diaphragms, parapet walls end bent beams, and sidewalks.

The project was constructed concurrently with a new airport terminal, parking garage, and roadways, all of which were adjacent to the project site. The PCL team worked closely with the client and adjacent contractors to ensure there were no conflicts between projects or delays to any of the ongoing work.
