The Minnedosa Ethanol Plant project included all facilities necessary to complete an ethanol distillation plant capable of producing 130 million liters of ethanol per year. The plant is based on a Katzen process that distills wheat to produce both ethanol fuel and an animal feed product called dried distillers grain with soluables.
PCL was contracted to manage all activities required to complete construction of the new plant. The scope included the procurement of all process equipment installations, piping installations, and mechanical instrumentation installations. To add value and manage costs, PCL’s in-house fabrication facility fabricated all large bore pipe spools for this project.
