Mystic Lake Casino Hotel Showroom

Project Overview

The Mystic Lake Showroom is one of the preferred entertainment and performing arts venues in the Twin Cities, enthusiastically endorsed by performers and audiences alike. It is a 147,000-square-foot facility with comfortable seating for 2,100 people; state-of-the-art acoustics; and excellent sight lines. Inside is a 13,000-square-foot bingo hall that is accessed from the main casino. The Showroom also includes VIP suites, operational rooms, a sound booth, and follow spot rooms. The mechanical room is situated on the upper suite/mechanical level. Back-of-house, storage areas, and show preparation areas are located on the lower level.

The PCL project team completed many interior renovations to the adjoining main casino, including new corridor finishes, common areas, new restrooms, and new bingo sales offices. Structurally, the Showroom is constructed of vertical reinforced concrete support up to an elevated posttensioned concrete slab at the casino level, and structural steel framing for the balance of the structure above the casino floor. The entire structure rests on soils reinforced by an extensive geopier system.
