Northwest Water Reclamation Plant

Project Overview

This project significantly expanded the overall treatment capacity of the facility. PCL’s scope included an advanced liquid treatment facility, with new primary clarifiers, a primary sludge and scum pump station, a primary effluent pump station, aeration basins, a blower building, secondary clarifiers, a final sludge and scum pump station, tertiary filters, a UV disinfection facility and an effluent pumping station. The combined total pumping capacity of all the different treatment processes exceeded 150 MGD. Solids-processing facilities included new anaerobic digesters and a new solids building, with centrifuges for thickening waste-activated sludge and dewatering digested sludge, sludge pumping equipment, odor-control facilities, and chemical feed systems. Digester gas utilization facilities included new gas compression and storage equipment, an engine generator, and a waste gas flare. DSW
