PCL Industrial Construction was the general contractor responsible for the construction of a 25,000 BpD (barrels per day) gasoline hydrotreater using open art technology. The project's combination of greenfield and brownfield scopes included site prep, civil concrete, structural steel with new and existing pipe-rack modifications, static and rotating equipment installation, installation of ISBL/OSBL piping, and tie-ins feeding the new units. The scope further encompassed the installation of 13.8 kV electrical feeders from the modified substation to a new electric power center located at the new hydrotreater.
