RBC Plaza (originally constructed as Dain Bosworth Tower) is a 40-story, 690,000-square-foot Class A office tower in downtown Minneapolis. It is connected to Gaviidae Common, a 240,000-square-foot specialty retail center that surrounds the base of the tower. Its exterior features a distinctive green glass curtain wall.
The plaza has underground parking on multiple levels to accommodate 250 cars. There is also a unique truck turntable specially designed to maneuver larger trucks used by financial institutions in the tower. With many financial institutions as tenants, RBS has its own trading floor, high security systems, floor-by-floor independent mechanical systems, raised access flooring, fiber optics, and an independent back-up power system.
RBC Plaza was completed as a joint venture with Kraus-Anderson Construction Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
