Stahl Peterbilt Fitout Shop

Project Overview

This 16,000-square-foot Stahl Peterbuilt shop houses eight employees who perform modifications on new trucks. The building includes a six-ton overhead crane and a 1,000-square-foot mezzanine containing a lunch room, locker room, and men’s washroom.

PCL provided cost-effective design-build services for the preengineered metal building. A Robertson Thermal System roof system resulted in an energy-efficient building with lower operating costs, and polycarbonate Sunshine Doors welcome natural light and provide outstanding, long-term performance.

The PCL project team also constructed an addition for servicing natural gas trucks. The addition is the first of its kind Edmonton, and it required a special design that incorporated high-end sensors and a special exhaust system with the ability to flush the building in case of a gas leak.
