A hotel and multi-event center helps create a city’s identity, offering a range of quality-of-life options for its people. The Grove Hotel Bank of America Center in Boise, Idaho, is now a base camp for activities in one of the most beautiful settings in North America. The natural beauty of canyons, mountains and white water rivers is now enhanced by a venue that offers sporting events, convention and meeting services, dining choices, luxury accommodations, and access to the city’s convention center and excellent fitness facility.
The owner's goal was to deliver this project within 24 months of bringing on a general contractor. The project's multiphased opening schedule for the arena, hotel, and retail facilities required extensive coordination with City officials. By securing work permits required to allow construction to proceed within an occupied space, PCL was able to continue construction in the hotel/retail area after the arena opened. PCL met the owner's fasttrack schedule, delivering the arena in 21 months and the hotel/retail facilities three months later.
