The Pacific Club project included the demolition and renovation of multiple areas within an operating historic social clubhouse, including the entire kitchen with roof, card room, courtyard dining room, and restroom. In some areas, the renovation was limited to aesthetic upgrades, but many places included extensive structural rehabilitation.
Maintaining electrical and HVAC services for the operational parts of the building was crucial. In addition, managing construction noise was a major challenge. Nordic PCL worked within very narrow time windows to conduct loud work. To alleviate the effects, a three-month construction schedule was mandated by the client. NPCL conducted comprehensive pre-planning four months prior, streamlined sequencing, and worked with the facility team both to successfully minimize NPCL's overall presence during construction and to complete the project on time.
