Project Overview

This project, for the City of Phoenix, consists of new facilities, piping, equipment, and materials for disinfecting by-product mitigation at the existing 160 MGD capacity Union Hills WTP. The project includes construction of a chlorine dioxide building (consisting of chlorine dioxide generation equipment and appurtenances); a sodium chlorite storage facility (consisting of bulk storage tanks, transfer pumps, lading station, and associated equipment and appurtenances); filter media removal and replacement with GAC media; a finished water pipeline; and associated structures and appurtenances( required to connect the existing finished water reservoir pump station to the existing gravity-fed Zone 3 water distribution The project also includes supporting yard piping, pumps, electrical instrumentation, plumbing/fire protection and HVAC components.
