Whitehorse General Hospital

Project Overview

In the mid-'90s, the Whitehorse General Hospital, the biggest hospital in the Yukon, underwent a large-scale, three-year revitalization, which included a new building and a complete renovation to the existing facility.

PCL completed it in two phases. The main hospital building, energy centre, and atrium were begun in September 1995 and completed in September 1996. The existing hospital building renovation began in October 1996, with completion in November 1997.

In 2015, PCL was awarded the design-build contract to expand the facility. Work will be complete in September 2017.
