Burnhamthorpe Library

PCL provided construction management services to the City of Mississauga for the redevelopment of the Burnhamthorpe Library.  The project consisted of a 14,000 s.f. addition and complete renovation and improvements to the existing 40,000 s.f.  library, renovations to the theatre and extensive site work and landscaping.

The Burnhamthorpe Library Redevelopment was an Infrastructure Ontario project which required a fixed budget and a non-negotiable construction completion date. PCL was involved in the early aspects of design and planning stages to help the team achieve important milestones.

Unique aspects of this project included maintaining services for the I.T. Disaster Recovery group during construction.  To accommodate this, PCL created a separate entrance for the I.T. group ensuring mechanical, electrical and life safety systems were maintained and functioning during construction.
