91st Avenue WWTP Chlorination Facility & Effluent Channel Impr.

This project consists of a number of major tanks and structural totaling 12,200 cy of structural concrete requiring over 190,000 sf of formwork. There is 14,360 lf of buried yard piping included. PCL Civil is self-performing all of the concrete work, underground piping, mechanical equipment and piping installation, excavation/backfill/site grading and required dewatering. Construction must be completed in two phases with the new chlorine contact basin and associated systems constructed and brought on-line before the existing effluent channel and two chlorine contact basins can be taken off-line for the modifications and expansion required in the second half of the project. Close coordination with the City of Phoenix staff has been required to allow shutdown and diversion of various plant systems and flows so construction can proceed.
