Project Features/Highlights
  • 21 bridges, requiring 800,000 sf of bridge deck.
  • 1.9 miles of roadway for I-95
  • One mile of roadway for I-595
  • Three-level interchange at I-905/SR-84
  • Four-level interchange at I-95 and I-595
  • Relocation of CSX railroad
  • Crash, fire & rescue bridge over I-95 to airport
  • Raising and widening of two existing precast AASHTO beam bridges
  • Demolition of two existing bridge structures

Project Description
Driven concrete piles, cast-in-place concrete substructure, structural steel girders, cast-in-place deck. This was the largest contract ever awarded by the Florida Department of Transportation.
