As president and chief operating officer of PCL Construction’s U.S. Operations, Deron Brown leads one of the largest and fastest-growing construction businesses in America. Since Brown was appointed COO in 2018, PCL has significantly expanded its presence across the United States, more than doubling its construction volume and employee count over the past decade. He has played a pivotal role in driving geographic growth, including the recent establishment of a new commercial buildings office in Phoenix and the acquisition of the Nassal Company, a leading theming and specialty construction firm.
Brown joined PCL in 1996 and has built a career spanning nearly every facet of the construction industry, from project leadership and operations to executive leadership and corporate governance. A member of PCL’s board of directors since 2014, he has helped guide the company's growth into one of North America's largest employee-owned construction organizations. Recognized as one of Engineering News-Record's Top 25 Newsmakers and a Most Admired CEO by the Denver Business Journal, Brown is known for his people-first leadership style and ability to connect strategy, culture and business performance.
